What: Just like any other mining community in Rustenburg, Bokamoso community is also experiencing overpopulation. Even though they do not have enough land,they are forced to accommodate mine employees and some job seekers. This is because to many,it is their only source of income.
Where: this community is based in Rustenburg registered as ward 34 under Rustenburg local municipality.
Impacts: where there's mining, there's impacts. Where there's overpopulation, there's high rate of crime,sex work,human trafficking and drug and alcohol abuse.
Likely causes: mining houses does not give accommodation to their employees, instead,they give them the living out allowance which force them to overpopulate the local communities.
