Air Pressured Pipeline.

Description

What: Anglo American platinum has a pipeline running from siphumelele 1 in Thekwana to their waterfall smelter next to Bokamoso.
Where: this pipeline is running through communities of Thekwana,Tshukudu gardens in Photsaneng,Mfidifoe and Bokamoso. All the communities are based in Rustenburg and are all registered with different ward numbers under Rustenburg local municipality.
Impacts: all these communities are complaining with the pipeline as they don't know what type of gas is running inside the pipeline. They fear for their lives in terms the pipeline could blast.
Likely causes: this is because the community only know that the pipeline carries populated air from underground. No one from the mine has ever tell the community the impacts of the gas in their health if it happens to blast.
