Description

What: people of Bokamoso community are using farming to fight poverty food shortage. The soil is very fertile as the place was an active farmland before people could reside.
Where: Bokamoso is located between Anglo American platinum waterfall smelter and Mfidikoe community, which one of the royal bafokeng communities.
Impacts: since most people in the community are unemployed, especially women,the go back to farming by having small gardens in their backyards. This is also helping to eat nutritional food and prevent soil erosion.
Likely causes: women are forced to do farming since most are unemployed and have to provide food for their families.
