Where: Ikemeleng, where a company called MCC was operating open cast contracted under Aquarius.The place is an old open cast of Aquarius mine. It was rehabilitated and is said to be unsafe for residing.

Impacts: The practice is an insult to African culture and tradition. Women are exposed to men and are at high risk of being raped. Children will accompany their mothers and look when they relieve themselves, since women are afraid to be raped,they relieve themselves just near the road exposed to passerby.

Likely causes: Ikemeleng is have a shortage of toilets. New stand is worse since more than three households are sharing one toilet,including their tenants,which is drained after two weeks or a month. Municipality has never built any toilet for the community and mines has also done nothing to restore the dignity of the community.
