What: the toilets in Ikemeleng are violation of human rights. They violate people off their rights to dignity and privacy. People do not have enough space in their yards to build themselves better toilets,this is because most houses have back rooms for tenants whom most are mine employees.

Where: Ikemeleng is in Kroondal outside Rustenburg in North West province.

Impacts: The toilets are health hazard to the residents and are not safe to use especially for women whom are likely to fall prey of rapists.

Likely causes: This is caused by overpopulation which is driven by the surrounding mines as their employees are tenants in our community and are using the facilities which are not even enough for the local residents alone.
