Description

What : Ikemeleng toilet are not safe or in good conditions for the use by the community because they can fall easily and causes bad smells during the day,there are worms and rain water has washed soil away the soil which gave the toilet structures stability.

Where : Ikemeleng community just outside Rustenburg town and its a host of mining houses named AQPSA,Samancor,Glencor Xstrata,Lanxess and Anglo American platinum mine and its registered under Rustenburg Local municipality as ward 35.

Impacts : Bad smell arising and the toilet built in an active soil used for agricultural activities which may easily claim the users lives.

Likely causes : There is no sewage plan nor drainage system. The mine does not let communities to decide on their services and municipality does not give attention to the community.
