What : Ikemeleng community is facing a huge problem of the portable and pit toilet build on soft fertile soil which is easily washed by rain.

Where : Ikemeleng community surrounded top big mining houses namely: Aqpsa,Glencoe xstrata,Samancor western chrome mine,Lanxess and Anglo american platinum mine.

Impact : Toilets may collapse at any given time as the soil is fertile (soft) and the structure are not well fitted to the edge of the ground. Water overflowing from community taps or rain easy runs into the toilets which leads to the toilets filling up and having worms roaming around.

Likely causes :Ikemeleng has no sewage system, enough space to make well structured toilets and the soil is not any good for building as well.
