Description

What: community of Ikemeleng is experiencing a lot of human rights violation caused by Rustenburg local municipality and the surrounding mine operating in the nearby hood. Overpopulation which strongly caused by surrounding mines,make it difficult for residents to have proper toilets as the the volume increases daily.

Where: all these human rights violation is happening in the community of Ikemeleng in Kroondal outside Rustenburg.

Impacts: The community portable toilets to be share by several houses are placed on the streets which leads no privacy, bad smell, poor environment as they sometimes overflow on the streets.

Likely causes:No sanitation plan and effective drainage system or service.
