What: illegal miners are digging for gold and are using a very dangerous way to get under ground.
Where : the mine is next to the national heritage side of George Harrison Park in Johannesburg and is also next to a local primary school in River lee which is part of soweto.
Impacts: this is a national heritage site and is suppose to be protected and have a proper security. Illegal workers have zero rights and are being exploited. They will stay in these mines for 7 days or more.
