What: an abondanded mine next to a community. An in rehabilitated land with tailings dams and more than 100 zama- zama's. The shaft was sealed on 16-08-91.
Where: Tsakane ext6
Impacts: high rate of emplyent and high crime rate as there is no fencing around the area. There's also a large number of women participating in artisanal mining.
Likely causes: the tailings dam dust causes children skin deases and lung infections. Gender based violence as women are being raped around this area.
