Park Turned Into A Chaos

Description

What: EEO advocated for a dump site to be turned into a park. The park has turned into a place of doom as school children smoke dagga and nyaope, adults gamble, during the night people have sex in public.

Impacts: School fenced was vandalised because people needed a place to do their dirt. Teenage pregnancy is rising because when they are horny they think of having sex. Crime is increasing because the swings and slides are broken to be sold at the scrap yard. When smokers are high they become violent and fight, elders are even afraid to intervene because they are scared for their lives.

Where: Newpayneville park next to Zamani Primary School and Church of England.

Likely causes: young people have no recreational activities that can entertain them as well as unemployment.
