Water Shortage In Bolana

Description

What: community of Bolana has been experiencing water shortage ever since its vicinity in the late 80s. It used to get it water from the Bolana shop when it was still operating and from the local scrap yard. Now that the shop is operating no more,they depend on the municipality trucks to supply then with water,which comes once in a month. They now have to share water with their livestock to wash themselves and their laundry.
Where: all this human rights violation is taking place in Bolana,bleskop outside Rustenburg in the North West province.
Impacts: people are denied their basic human rights. Water is a basic of life for both plants and animals. By sharing water with animals,it can cause them illnesses.
Likely causes: the residents are disbanded by the municipality as they do not have services and no development is taking place in their area. These people are been taken advantage of.
