Ikemeleng Taps Lickage

Description

What :Ikemeleng is facing a serious problem of taps lickages because the resident don't protect what they have compared to back days in 2006.There were no taps they used to buy water from trucks and bakkies passing in the community.

Where :Ikemeleng situated in kroondal just 7km from Rustenburg CBD.

Impacts :Water waste which leads to streets overflowing with water and possible water shortage at times.

Likely causes : There is no water monitoring team or maintainance of taps by municipality and mining houses.
The community does not take the responsibility of ensuring children do not play with taps.
