Description

What: The white crust of acid mine drainage (AMD)
Where: Vosman,Emalahleni ward 8, Nkangala district, Mpumalanga, South Africa
Impact: The acid has covered the soil, the rocks and the grass of Vosman area next to the abandoned mine of TDB. it affects the livestock of the communities, their small garden and the stream as well as the wetlands.
Other comments: the people living next to the flowing dirty and contaminated stream are in danger because children jump the stream to play at the sandy acid ground and their livestock drink the water.
