What: The sewerage plant that flows through to the Olifant River Tributary
Where: N4 Emalahleni,kwa-guqa,Elisha plant, Emalahleni,Nkangala district, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
Impact: The sewage discharged by the plant contains nitrogen and it enriches the growth of algae, which in turn removes the oxygen making it difficult for living creatures in the water to breath. This chemicals contained in the polluted water also destroys the wetlands and pollutes the water from the stream.
