Coronation and Vosman in Emalahlen has many abandoned mines.In winter the mine are on fire and tyou can see smoke coming out of them.Over many years people who live in Coronation close to the mine live in danger.
In the rainy season they risk falling into sinkholes,which open up.
There is a very large community living around the abandoned mines, the manucipal is building RDPs houses close by the people are also building shacks there.
