Where : Wonderkop Nkaneng, an informal settlement 700 metres away from Lonmin mine operation and Andrew Safey hospital.

Impact : The connections are highly hazardous and may easily shock animals and children as some cables are on the ground.

Likely causes : The settlement increase in population on daily basis as a result of mining activities where people came seeking employment and end up building shacks. this lead to people illegally connecting electricity.
